NBA Players

If you guys have to work for a bunch of freaks, it doesn't matter which team wins. All that matters is that you guys get together to have some fun.
When you have doubts, go back and look at the role of Chauncy, played so brilliantly byClifton Powell in Menace II Society.
Chauncy was the man!

General Eric Shinseki

I don't understand why people in the Obama administration have to fall like chess pieces.
There was no reason to attack Shirley Sherrod.
Kathleen Sebelius couldn't control the SCOTUS decision to give states the right to opt out of Medicaid expansion, or the Republican decision to panic all those looking for medical insurance by
shutting down the government right when people wanted to begin searches. The natural expectation of roll out was that people wait until near the end of an enrollment period to get on board.
Now that this administration has worked so hard to boost the burdened Veteran's Administration Hospitals, when problems surface, right away someone shouts "off with his head".
That is ridiculous.
General Shinseki relies on reporting mechanisms like every other administrator.
Now that more rape victims have come forward, those victims may be clogging the system unexpectedly with myriad other problems they are now willing to discuss.
Unexpected consequences crop up to cause delays in any medical operation. Again, hundreds of
thousands of veterans would have qualified for Medicaid any under the new health care law.
Did the SCOTUS kill them?
More than likely it's just that they could care less about them.
To them, medical care is an ideological exercise in states' rights propaganda. Many persons, perhaps loved ones of many veterans may have died, and are dying, hoping to have qualified for the Medicaid expansion in the new health care law.
Some VA officials have undoubtedly been cracking under the strain of so many years of returning war vets needing service.
Maybe we'd do best to wait and see who they might be, and what they may have done.
Problems don't get the funds they need very soon after they present.
Vets, even at the top, confronted with consecutive years of strain, cracking under it? Possibly, yes.
And I don't believe we will find everything we need to know in the twenty-four hour news cycle.

Mark Cuban

Should he be proud of himself? I can't see why. Didn't he open his needless mouth to say what we
figured anyway?

My Race Is More Than A Social Construct

I inherited my race from my mother, and my father, and all my other ancestors. Intellectuals cannot
detect race in me. But I can see it. For all those who cannot see it in me, do realize I see it in myself.
Nearly any species on earth endemic to Africa can be biologically identified as African. I'm glad of it.
I don't intellectualize the social part of it at all times, though I do admit there is a multi-layered social
aspect to my identity. That admission means little to intellectuals, however; it's enough for me.

Chris Hayes Of MSNBC

I thought it was hilarious how much the Atlanta community loved some Chris Hayes of the cable
news! They were such screaming fans he could hardly be heard on air at times.
Also it was a bit hilarious that even though all the fans were there together, the white people were
mostly on one side, while the black people were on the other.
I guess old habits die hard?

Ta Nehisi Coates

Thank heavens Mr. Coates spoke on the Chris Hayes' show to detail some things Jonathan Chait
neglected in Mr. Chait's generous description of American progress towards making black people whole.
Chait indicated that America went from slavery (then one or two memorable events) to the election of a black president.
America was lucky to have Barack Obama. America needed Barack Obama. Barack Obama is the one who sacrificed himself and his family to excruciating exposures.
Is anyone in America laboring under the illusion that an awful calamity would have overcome
Barack Obama and his family had we not elected him POTUS?
Did Michelle Obama have an empty life before she became FLOTUSA?
Our President and his wife were a still young couple with vibrant careers (as vibrant as a black person's career can be when he or she is involved with The University of Chicago).
President Obama had a home, a wife, a family, siblings, in-laws, extended family, a position of respect in his community. His wife was similarly affected.
The United States of America, on the other hand, was on the brink of manufacturing collapse, banking collapse, housing collapse, and retirement fund implosions in an aging society. We were
not doing well at all. We were even embroiled in two foreign wars, one in the Mideast, and one in the Far East. The only passable roads into Afghanistan were a couple which cost us millions per year to traverse. We had to get in and out of the country; but the very first thing we did there was to bomb
the airport. Why? Who was coming that our Air Force couldn't handle?
As my dad used to say, black people, as a total community, always see the brink anyway. We live on the brink.
Ta Nehisi would understand my dad completely.
It used to break my heart to hear my dad say black people couldn't be truly free until we controlled
some resource from the ground through production. I was a teen, but I would tell him to read history, and to look at Wall Street. I tried to explain how entrenched racism was from the ground clean through to production.
We had a majority white country, a great many of whom believed we were born to be exploited, and
a great many others who felt we shouldn't have been born at all.
At bit earlier, during the late fifties, I heard his meetings in our living room with a club he'd founded
called the PEOFA club. People's Economic Opportunity and Freedom Association.
He came to the end in that club when most of the men in it became discouraged. He knew we had a
resilience which would some day give us a chance to achieve some degree of economic parity with
the majority. He felt he had to keep working on the problem of black independence, even if only in
small, incremental ways, in ways with uncertain chronologies.
I always told dad we had to have faith in each other in the ways he had hoped for even if we couldn't
see immediate effects.
He didn't say much, but was always proud to hear of any achievement a black person could score.
Both my parents expressed a lot of disappointment that most money made by black people in America was available only through the entertainment industry.  But when Oprah came along, they
adopted the attitude- "ok, we'll take it."
Dad always nurtured a hope, however, that we could petition the government to pay us as the community of survivors whose ancestors didn't get the pay owed them for centuries of labor.
I always told him the country couldn't afford to do it if it were to remain a country. All of America
was built by slavery. The America waves of immigrants came to was built by slavery.
All the immigrants worked to enhance, all was stolen property.
Harvard was built by slavery.
Yale was built by slavery.
Chase bank was built by slavery.
All of Wall Street was built by slavery.
Even slavery was sometimes built by the slavery on breeding farms, once the British stopped the trade on the high seas.
And violent crimes against the persons of Africans and African-Americans? How were families to be
compensated for those?
Welfare cannot compensate the work product of the mass of labor of hundreds of years and quadrillions of dollars.
The most the U.S. can do is to pay itself for the work of calculating all that was extorted from us, and list it in the public record.
I see nothing else.
Slavery funded every single endeavor which created fortunes in the colonies...including the war begun with the shot heard 'round the world.

Racism

Unlike, race hatred, and individual racists, racism is a coordinated, embedded system of laws and
customs designed to maim and even cripple the strivings of a specific race or group of races.
Sometimes institutions are so cloaked in the garments of exclusion, the language of exclusion has
no descriptively identifiable racial words or phrases used in statements preventing members of a group from achieving stated goals. So, sometimes, people find it more useful to fail to state goals.
America has gotten a leg up on providing itself with a great deal of racism. Kidnapping and enslaving
easily identifiable people gives a country plenty of leverage of those people.
Offering lots of work for very little pay to groups who are not legally even present in a country- well,
again, employer country has plenty of leverage over those worker groups.
Then rather than have to offer a fair day's pay for a day's work, eventually, just convince 99% of all
in your country to work for no increases in pay for decades, while the richest in business and government reap gargantuan income increases each and every year.
A permanently undervalued, underdeveloped, poorly compensated work force group can keep a
country thriving in some quarters, aye? This works especially well when workers, in the main, are
undereducated, but a big chunk of them believe themselves to be well-read, articulate, critically
thinking and accurate quantifiers.
In the African-American community, people often help each other stay under the radar of mainstream
society, for example. Oprah Winfrey initially learned her craft from her boss at a black radio station.
She didn't graduate from college.
Dr. Dre wasn't attempting to be class valedictorian. He perfected the craft his community appreciated.
But today, this community gets brain-washed and practically tortured daily about the lack of skill(s) in their children.
Barak Obama wasn't looking for a green-eyed blond once he knew he wanted to work in the black
community after law school/
African Americans have to hone the skills they love most in one another. Enough of the rest of America comes along eventually.
I know a friend whose boyfriend was hired by a dealership to bring in Spanish speaking customers.
Whenever a Latino person bought a car, the dealership paid my friend's boyfriend a few dollars, usually less than two hundred, a few days after a sale.
Sometimes her boyfriend had no way home, and no groceries, waiting for some pay. He was over
forty, and spoke only broken English.
When WWI broke out, I guess black soldiers were enlisted last, or late.
But direct descendants of those vets were due funds from the Laverne Noyes scholarship at the
University of Michigan. So I got my granddad's papers together from my mom. I sent in copies to the
U for my daughter.
Several days later I got a 'not qualified' letter saying the Noyes scholarship was only for the descendants of people who entered and served before a date printed in the letter.
I asked my mother what in the world that meant.
She told me the date was the one after which black soldiers came into service.
A coordinated, embedded system of laws and customs designed to maim and even cripple the strivings of a specific race or group of races....
See what I mean?

Boko Haram

Terrorists in north Nigeria have become Medeival, or even pre-historic.
Is there no less horrifying or exploiting method of obtaining a wife?
Now they have kidnapped Chineses engineers.
There a one million Chinese people living, working, doing business in Africa.
The Chinese love their engineers. Why would Haram do such a risky thing?
I really hope Russia and the Haram are not attempting some elaborate rouse to distract U.S.
Intelligence.
A Progressive can also be a conspiracy theorist.

Race Hatred

Donald (Topowitz) isn't simply a racist. He feels race hatred. I've met people of this ilk. Speaking to
and hearing someone who has this sense of race hatred can be chilling.
A racist is someone who enjoys a willingness to exercise any readily available advantage (meritorious or otherwise) over certain others, and so are thereby given to denigrating other people, usually with overt, hostile, or otherwise contempt-filled and contempt-infused behaviors, often even indifferent behaviors which attack  any or all of a racially different person's body, mind, spirit, other faculty, social construct skill and/or opportunity. Most racists become more intimately involved with the self-protected explanations for their attitudes, the longer they have the attitudes, rather than become more involved with the motivations which fuel the dispositions they espouse. Why be self-reflecting when all the reasons for specific behaviors are both well known and well rehearsed in the
mind of a racist's life. Racists also enjoy discussions with the like-minded to reinforce their beliefs
from both within and without. The seasoned contempt passes for cause and effect reasoning.
For this reason, victims of racist persons often have no idea what hit them in a specific situation until
similar situations have presented themselves in the victim's life more than once.
"We do bring property values down," people can be heard to say about their own groups.
I often think in those situations, 'Do the values go down before the banks, hardware stores, dentists,
physicians, shoe shops, florists, butchers, and grocers all leave the neighborhood or downgrade
services, or after all that happens?'
For one thing, these neighborhoods are 50+ years old before real estate decides to make them available to minorities. When business infrastructure moves to the newer neighborhoods, older
homes are difficult to maintain. Parts and labor for furnace maintenance or repair, for plumbing,
eaves, fixtures, etc. all become scarce, or unavailable, or both.
Race haters feel a guttural, existential hatred of the entire race they have designated as "lesser".
They seem to have the irrational idea that there is a ball of
'othering' in this world, and if it were all justly applied to the deserved race, none would be left in
the world to afflict any other person or group.
I believe race haters resent that some of their own race are willing to 'live and let live', especially
when they are themselves members of some minority or of a group not always and automatically
considered by people of their own race to be 'above' a racially designated group the hate filled have decided are inferior.
Donald (Topowitz) Sterling is a race hater. He frames any black person he must encounter as one
of those made in the image and likeness of his revulsion.
Topowitz sees his estimation of black people as a natural extension of how he likes to think of them, and he does realize he must protect his views as natural because those views will naturally bump into views of ordinary racists who often spew venom with material reward as a desired outcome. People like (Topowitz) Sterling cultivate  race hatred as unquestioned fealty to a pointed loathing- any circumstance notwithstanding.
Donald (Topowitz) Sterling can think of Black people in only two ways: owned and used, or excoriated and discarded.
He actively dislikes people who won't acknowledge a same or similar disgust for black people.
He chose Anderson Cooper for an interview. Anderson Cooper showed himself to be a bit disgusting
during 'Katrina".
Then Mr. Topowitz asked, 'What has Magic done for the black people?' What a scary way to speak.
He believes we are an entity. We are not black people. We are 'the' black people.
I wondered initially how anyone could see Mr. Earvin Johnson and think, "black people", and
"my games".
I see now that no black person can be an individual in Sterling's schema.
He thinks the way he needs to think in order to keep the dream alive...the dream that someday all races will automatically see 'big Magic' when they see Mr.Johnson; and have no care or idea
at all that the man is a world renowned icon.

I Thought Linda Tripp Was The Person Who Exploited Monica

I don't call that an affair.
Maybe I'm thinking mistresses are courted.
I don't call that sex.
If that were sex, we wouldn't need any birth control at all.
What does Rand Paul mean, "It's hard to separate the two of them."
Why, at this point, would anyone want to do that? A new scandal? Separating Bill Clinton
from his wife would not put her any closer or any farther away from what her husband did.
If she had had a vote, he would have avoided all behaviors toward Monica Lewinsky which
weren't President/intern related interactions.
Rand Paul still doesn't have a good explanation for using his "aqua Buddha" on college girls.
Does he like living in a glass house? President Clinton isn't the only one to have dodged a
morality bullet.
Monica Lewinsky's chief complaint against President Clinton during impeachment was that he talked about his daughter all the time.
I'm sorry. I don't believe Chelsea could have been happy about that fact- but I couldn't see it as anything damnable regarding the President. He felt overwhelmed by his pride in his daughter. Time, place, and company notwithstanding,  I believe the President must have considered Lewinsky a friend
who didn't mind hearing about his life. Where was Lewinsky's father? Was Lewinsky's judgement  a manifestation of her having had a dad problem?
What exactly did Ms. Lewinsky think happens to a young woman who is indiscreet with a world
leader, and then exposed? Should public sensibility offer high praise? Not.
Does a country deserve to lose its President to ensure the emotional good health of a young woman?
The young woman who involved herself with this married had of state was a fully grown woman.
I thought at the time the Republicans were the ones insisting she be "ruined".
Neither she nor the President had a desire to go public.
Linda Tripp was the most insistent person at the time who was pushing for public disclosure of the
Lewinsky affair. Maybe she could look after Monica now.
Do wives feel empowered or motivated to "look after" the women who help triangulate their marriages by aiding and abetting a husband's betrayal? That seems boundary less to me.
The Clintons had carved a path for themselves a long, long time before they met Ms. Lewinsky.
What should Hillary Clinton have done in public regarding the infidelity in her marriage?
Hillary Clinton was already educated, already a mom, already a first lady both in Arkansas and in
the White House. Should she have gone back in time to have an affair with a world leader once she turned 20? Could she then normally identify with Ms. Lewinsky?
Hillary Clinton doesn't have to apologize for being or for becoming, an accomplished non-adulterer government wife...not even,( Are we surprised?) to a woman who has compromised Mrs.Clinton's marriage.

At Times Mainstream News Is Silly

As I was watching a 2009 episode of Law And Order one of the detectives asked another how a
government sleuth found the credit card record a a certain possible criminal.
The questioned detective mumbled: 'They have everyone's credit card records.'
The government sleuth, who was standing with the other two city investigators, interjected, 'You
didn't hear that from me.'
And yet Edward Snowden was supposedly new, different, and worth all of us getting our hair afire.

Not Just Mike- Magic Too

Magic Johnson is another reason basketball fever exploded in America. Unlike Mike Jordan, Magic
was a wunderkind even during his college days.
Were it not for his explosive abilities, the Clippers might not even exist. So he can come to games
with any untalented person he wants for company or acquaintance.
I hate Cookie had to hear that odious recording.
And what flaky empty suit could get a sight of Magic coming to a Clippers game, and think-
"black people"?
This Topowitz person is so lucky to know such talented, intelligent, young millionaires.
So lucky.
NBA owners may all be awful. The other 29 are probably the ones throwing Topowitz shade about
his "everything" girl hanging out with the one and only Magic.
Hey, she's another unworthy lucky!

The Culture Of Rape: In The U.S. And Its Armed Services

Rape laws in Western culture were not put in place to give women access to our legal systems.
I have to imagine things are no different in other parts of the world.
Rape laws were instituted for men who might find the need to accuse other men of grievances against
women male accusers wanted protected or sequestered.
Women were to give some testimony when told- if asked.
Rape laws have to be rewritten so that the crimes can be self-reported to someone elected to traverse
the landscapes in the widespread devastation incurred in the schema and accustomed-to functionality
of victims.
Why?
Often when women report the crime and attempt to detail the damage done them, they are expected
to prove post assault damage has occurred. Can she prove she wasn't already like what she now describes?
When a man who isn't an expert in the damages caused by assault becomes involved in these crimes, he eventually, reflexively, hears "sex" in the recounting. He remembers "sex" in the recounting.
These assaults by any other name are still violent, tremendous undoings.
Courtship has such a checkered history in this country that many people believe "quid pro quo" is a fair description for interaction between persons legally considered consenting equals. Sharing time or space, even accidentally or incidentally, means to some, that a person who may be stronger or otherwise has the upper hand, also has the justification needed to express anything at all, during any kind of contact with any person.
I knew a man once who began to shiver when I explained to him it was now against the law in Michigan to take a girl into the woods, for instance, and threaten to leave her there if she refused sexual advances- thanks to Debbie Stabenow.
He suddenly confessed to me he had once done just that; and had no idea it was not simply a mischievous act.
However, he was so visibly shaken and so verbally active, I knew somewhere deep down inside he had realized previous to this conversation that he'd done something horrendous to another human being.
But American society began in kidnap and rape.
American society didn't exist in 1618.
Before that time, so many relationships between couples seemed more transactional than intimate.
By 1619 men began to be powerful in Virginia. In time, this power spread throughout the colonies.
The sort of power these men developed wasn't noticeably healthy; and they didn't seem to notice.
As time passed, women seemed to find ways at first to adapt, and now keep safer, and when not safer,
quiet.
Since women have entered the Armed Services, more aggressive behaviors toward them in many sectors are coming to light. Forensic science helps, but is not often motivated by live victims.
If Congress wants to see fewer suicides in Vets, they had better work with Kirsten Gillibrand. No one
else seems to understand the depth and breadth of urgency needed to show certainty of need for the dependable humanity and respect all service persons must show each other.
Rapists, as well as victims, may be more prone to suicide than vets who haven't seen the worst of
betrayal in themselves and their fellow service personnel.

Ed Schultz And The TPP

We are not going to save 20th century jobs from China.
We have to re-invent and re-train and use enhanced technology to re-envision the American work force.
China just challenged Vietnam in disputed territories in the South China sea. Vietnamese boats were
the ones sustaining damage.
Either we rope these countries into the American economy by hook or by crook, or China will
subsume these lesser economies, making each one of those potential trading partners economic
satellites of the Chinese business sector.
America has to create much different jobs with its massive education system. Our education potential, our research and development abilities have to rev up in order for us to have a competitive
world presence.
President Obama knows we don't have forever to get this done.
China threatens to dominate both trade and manufacture in the Pacific rim if we don't have agreements with those countries which help them avoid the Chinese mammoth.
We have to make a sea change in the sort of jobs only Americans can to well, with appropriate
patent protection, and enough government lawyers to assure proper enforcement of our patents.
We are only 330 million people. Many of us are older now. We won't be competitive simply
because we don't allow affordable goods and services from foreign countries onto our shores.
We cannot afford to buy everything from each other, and we can't sell high-priced goods abroad.
But we have the infrastructure to innovate, to show our wares as unique.
Before we could be copied, we'd have conquered some new emerging markets.
We don't have a choice.
We make the best of every man, woman, and child in this country- or our work force becomes
extinct.
In the meantime, we need to embrace economies subject to Chinese overtake in order to buy some
time to renew our industry and manufacture. Our president is willing to guide us in this effort.
But we have to be willing to see the big picture without becoming too discouraged.
We are not going to make 20th century industry new or different or sustainable at $30+, per
hour in this 21st century, without reshaping it to be a newly sophisticated group of electronically
sophisticated sectors.

Ask Mitt Romney

Republicans blamed the victims.
Mitt Romney came out criticising our embassy officials after Benghazi even before our
White House made a statement.
Those attacked at the embassy sent word home that they'd apologized for the offensive movie made
in America. They themselves believed the attack on them was related to the other attacks on embassies and outposts in that part of the world.
When Romney heard them admit the apologies they made in order to quell the fire directed at them,
he immediately sniped at them for being apologists for the great state of America.
Then and now, the thing to do was admit we already had statesmen and women in place who would
attempt to find out what was actually wrong. Republicans dishonor those killed by ignoring that
obligation again and again.
They were wrong back when the Benghazi deaths occurred. They are very wrong now.
Susan Rice used a great many prep notes to assemble her final, CIA-approved statement.
Even if one of the prep notes is still missing even now, no one can make it say what it does not say.
The latest memo referred to all the assaults which were happening at once, not to an as yet
singled-out Benghazi.
No one knew how deadly that attack was until hours after it happened.
How could anyone here have known what happened the moment it happened.
None of the decades of embassy attacks our country has worked that way,  not even the attack on our Marines in Beirut was understood within hours of our getting the death toll.

Our American Unemployed

Congress doesn't seem to take into account they have offered no real job initiatives for years and years.
Why wouldn't they vote on a jobs package which included turning over most of the projects in question over to private corps within 3 - 5 years, or even sooner.
Our infrastructures are largely unsafe.
Our climate has become extreme.
Our public worker solidifiers in police stations and schools and firehouses are threatened.
You criticise.
You whine.
You accuse.
You attack.
You slash. You burn.
You shut down.
You will not lead.
Do you realize how devastating it is for a family to attempt to recover form a lay-off?
These recoveries normally take at least ten years.
Ten years out of the life of a family, or a couple, even an individual worker amounts to about a third
of an employee's working career.
Savings can get crushed. Planned promotions can get taken out of a career-hopeful person's queue.
Resources put aside for an apartment, condo, or house can be devoured by a workers lack of
steady income.
Finding a job in a year or so won't replenish them for a long time to come.
Education hopes can be disrupted for years when tuition refund checks don't come anymore.
Taking temporary jobs to fund a lifestyle which spent earnings at higher levels of supplying a
family's demands can devastate an ability to maintain a living space, buy fresh fruit and/or
vegetables, afford books and fees not covered by Pell, keep up a business casual look to apply for
work- help out family also having troubles.
Congress seems to believe middle class persons are either in work, or out of work, depending upon
the luck of a draw, or a willingness to take jobs from teenagers.
At no point do any of these elected officials seem to know or care about the pointy and acidic discomfort in the pain of recovery.

New Retirees

So many people who have toiled for thirty years have been able to leave jobs they hate because they
are able to afford their health care now.
Some Americans have needed to leave unpleasant working conditions, but they needed health plans,
so they stayed in places offering them.
Many people who haven't reached retirement age may need to take what pension they've accrued
and wait out the intervening years between now and the day they reach the Social Security qualifying age working at some venue better suited to a person who's hands, or knees, or eyes, or feet or ankles,
etc. don't work as wonderfully as they did since getting past fifty years of age.
People who leave work at say, 60 years of age, can either get other jobs after a bit, or vacate a space
desperately needed by a younger worker.
Furthermore, older workers don't have to worry so much now about family members who have gone
without the possibility of accruing health insurance, or who may have had trouble being covered as they had to move from layoff to layoff during our crushing post Iraq recession.
For so many Americans, that recession was a depression because people were often without either
food or shelter at the same time, for many weeks.
Now that fewer people have to worry about personal health, those people will be more free to make
commitments to other quality of life expenditures.

The Minimum Wage

When people make more money, they spend more money- especially after a recession.
If you are working at a store, why would your boss lay you off if she is about to get a great many more customers? Millions of people with a raise will shop with many more dollars. Why would a business lay people off to get prepared for tons more customers?
The Republican talking points make no sense. Bosses who have to lay off when the economy grows
a bit more don't want to work themselves; either that or they themselves want to find a higher paying jobs.
Employers can no longer tell college grads "I'm paying $2 an hour over minimum wage!" if the pay
in question is $9.35 when federal minimum wage is $10.10.
A rising tide lifts all boats.

Mike Jordan And Basketball

When I was kid shouting for the Pistons to win, the NBA was a bit small.
When my kids were growing up shouting for the Lakers to win, there were more teams.
But until Mike Jordan cut loose, the NBA did not grow by leaps and bounds.
Billionaires couldn't afford a lot of LeBron Jameses, because fans were not paying to see
the possibilities of what exciting could be.
Without Mr. Jordan, we would not have thirty NBA teams.
We'd still likely have a handful, although some real fever began as early as 1961 when doctors
asserted a young guy named Lew Alcindor was still growing, and would be for some years!

Clippers With Courage

I suppose you can do whatever you like. You don't have to wait for the same system which coddled
the racist to dump him. It is up to you. The NBA by any other name will shine the same.

Mr. Donald Sterling and Thomas Jefferson

If there is a defense of Mr. Sterling, perhaps it is that he may be a student of history.
He said not one thing Thomas Jefferson didn't say more than once.
Thomas Jefferson, who likely populated his own plantation with his lechery, said all these
same sorts of things. His 1787 address to the Virginia legislature was more than incendiary. But
in 1787, what could a black person do to refute his lies?
Here's the thing, though. There is no reason for Sterling to identify with Thomas Jefferson. One
reason Jefferson wanted slavery to survive was so that America wouldn't need immigrants from
other countries. Maybe that's the portion of Jefferson's evil genius Sterling hasn't been privy to
yet.
(Topowitz) Sterling would love those dirty philosophies against black people's  minds, spirits, and bodies anyway. He barely wanted to be known as a descendant of the immigrant class.

Called Out

Donald (Topowitz) Sterling has been awful for years and years. The players knew. The coaches
knew. No one expressed national outrage when it was time to stand up for one of their greatest-
Elgin Baylor?
This time, though, the same thing happened to the Clippers that happened to Sterling.  This time
the public faces of the NBA got called out publicly.
Sterling got called out publicly by public photos of his "girlfriend" with big, strong, healthy, rich, and famous business savvy men.

China Will Gain On Us More Quickly Without TPP

We have to retrain on more highly technological middle classed work. If we don't get meaningful
partnerships in the Pacific Rim, China will control labor and trade throughout that region. If we think
our jobs are going to exist in that climate, we are dead wrong. We desperately need the Trans Pacific
Partnership right now. China is definitely branching out in places which don't need to be weakened,
in many of those same places we need to be...Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, etc. We don't
need China to challenge those economies or be the most powerful players in those economies.
As painful as the changes we have to make may be- we'd better hurry out of our comfort zones and
adjust to a continental giant which has begun to grow very quickly. China will give us NO quarter
when it comes to imports, tariffs, exports, cheap retail, once they get a leg up in smaller countries bordering the great sea! Whatever we can offer right now, they can offer it cheaper.
their expertise in manufacturing is growing by leaps and bounds. If the U.S. union population
is worried, they should be. Those union leaders had better get the best training for the best new cutting edge technologies America can nurture before anyone can copy our expertise spread well
enough to get an upper hand in how and where those new operations become dominant in world
cultures.
If China gets more control in those smaller countries than it have now, we are lost- and we don't likely have a way back to producing anything competitive. Whatever China gets in place will be
expensive enough that the countries where they establish business and manufacturing pre-eminence
will not want to change out infrastructures for another thirty to fifty years minimum, no matter what
we might offer as innovation.
POTUS knows this. He operates to solidify our place new world economies. He wants to fast track this new trade deal so that it cannot be derailed. He is a true patriot and wants to protect our futures in ways we don't understand, and in ways the current American political scenes will gut precisely because the 1% may be the only ones who can possibly feel sustained when we lose selling space for our products in all world markets. Half of them have inherited wealth anyway. Growing the wages
and wealth in our middle class is the only way we can have an economy which keeps pace with that
of  one engaging more than one billion workers! The greedy billionaire in this country cannot save us
China will outnumber us in billionaires too. But we can surely save ourselves. We have access to the
most adaptive citizenry in the world, bar none. We only have to be open to that fact.
Already, one million Chinese citizens live and do business in Africa.
As disease abates in Africa, is that middle class going to buy from us, or from China?
Our children and grandchildren are going to find out before too long.

Only Your Vote Will Save Your Job

Your job doesn't have to be tied to the same greedy corporations. The 1% don't have to be set in stone.
They are as interchangeable as employees are.
A lot of people are qualified to run and own the retail giants.
Someone will get the crops to market even if General Mills decides not to do it.
People will find some way to live in houses even if Ken Langone is too busy cheating his wife and family out of a place to live to run Home Depot.
Some teachers will discover a way to get paid good money for looking after and instructing children
all day, even if states are abandoning the public good. As a matter of fact, that is happening now! Teachers are NOT all flocking to charters like little blank unionless sheep.
Doctors and nurses get regular checks because they work with the ACA.
Clothes will be made even if the glamor of sweat shops dissipates in the fashion conscience.
